I have had a sneak peek on the Sweet Protection AW 16/17 catalogue, that is the winter catalogue that the stores use when they order products. When it comes to helmets the coolest addition to the collection is that Henrik Kristofferson`s slalom helmet with protector is available. I would assume that it will be popular among young alpine athletes. Field Production has also its signature model in 2017, a dark blue Igniter. For alpine pro racing the Aksel Lund Svindal helmet Rooster Disceca RS is in the collection this year too. It comes in green and orange metallic as new colors. To sum it ut Sweet Protection has a variety of models and colors that should suit a lot of buyers. Many helmets also comes in MIPS version.

For Gore-Tex jackets I was a bit dissapointed over the 2017 colors. Earlier Sweet had two Voodoo jackets that I considered buying but decided to wait for the next seasons models. A torquise and purple one was the freshest one of the older models. This year all female models are only one color, except the Salvation jacket in mint green/burgundy and the Chiquita in red/blue. Especially the Chiquita model would have been nice in some blue and lime colors or purple and lime. For men the Supernaut jacket comes in two blue colors, steel blue and midnight blue. The Jailbreak jacket for men is available also in two colors.

The jacket I think is the coolest piece of clothing in 2017, is the Salvation model for men in colors midnight blue and flash blue. If you click the image in this article you see it in the upper right corner.

The Monkewrench jacket for men has quite some details. The look is cool because of that and how the pockets are placed, but again I think the colors are a bit boring, but fortunately that is a taste. I for example think the all black model does not get the details show when there is no contrast color.

For isolation jackets there is the Mother Goose (down) and Nutshell (primaloft) for both ladies and men. In addition there is fleece jackets in the collection.

For mid layers I liked the Alpine 1/2 zip neck or crew for ladies.

Sweet Protection generally belongs to the upper price segment. Personally everything has to be right if I am going to pay 1200 dollar for a jacket and pant to go skiing with. But I have to admit it is cool when the pants and jacket match and is the same model. But anyway skiing is fun independent of which clothes you wear, as long as you do not wear jeans.
